When Harry Price decided as a teenager to spend the night in a local haunt with a good friend he could not have possibly known that this would be a turning point many years later for paranormal investigators around the world.
A decade or so later when he packed a suitcase full of instruments to collect evidence of the hauntings how would he have known it would lead the way for a new breed of electronic technicians developing equipment so advanced as to actually pick up voices inaudible to the human ear or apparitions invisible to the naked eye? Working with psychics for years and years did any of them tell him even once that the future for paranormal investigating would take such a turn as to build a worldwide community of investigators carrying on his work? Harry Price is gone but his methods are not, they have lived on and today's modern paranormal investigators continue in his footsteps for the ever seeking field of psychical research.
River Town Paranormal Society is a group of women and men who through chance meetings came to discover they have one thing in common. They have had many experiences with the paranormal in their lifetime. Much like many of the paranormal groups locally, nationally and worldwide they decided to follow a path in discovering if what they have experienced is real or is it an unexplained phenomena. Our group does not believe that everything that happens during an investigation is paranormal. Most anomalies can be explained in one fashion or another. This is a very big part of our job. Our modern equipment is very useful in an investigation but they are electronics and you have to take this into account. Yet, when we do pick up something that is unexplainable, we look at it with a fine tooth comb, go back to try to reenact the scenario and double check all possibilities. It is only then that we can honestly say to our clients that what we have is paranormal. Something not of the norm.
So what makes us different? We don't see ourselves differently from other groups, however, River Town Paranormal Society holds true to one idea. We believe that when there is evidence of paranormal activity such as in a evp or a video capture that you have to delve further. Was this somebody's family? A mother, a father, a son or a daughter? Is there a historical reason for why this soldier, this slave, this bride or groom still lingers on the property? Our evidence will not tell us this but research sometimes may. Our group does extensive research into property descriptions, records of deeds, old directories and library archives. When all the investigating is done and the analysis is complete, our work is not done. We spend many hours researching to find out if there was such a person that lived on the property and if that information can be tied in with our investigation results.
We respect our clients, our clients' property and their wishes. No information is released unless our clients release us to do so. Our clients receive a full report and copies on any evidence during our presentation. Even though this part of the investigation is complete we keep working with our clients to help them work with what is going on at their property. We are not asking to come in for the thrill of the hunt, we are asking you to let us help you figure out just what may be happening at your home or business that can't be explained.
Thank you for coming to our site and reading our blogs, our members page and our evidence. We plan on sharing this information with everyone who is interested in the paranormal if our clients request that we do so. Our purpose is to learn while investigating then take what we have learned to share it with the world. River Town Paranormal Society believes this should be the purpose of all paranormal investigators and ghost hunters because, well because, if Harry Price had not shared his findings there would probably be no paranormal groups today. If you have a need for a investigating team to come to your home or business please contact us through this website. We will answer every email in a timely manner and respect your concerns and needs.
